Letting the dealership "detail" my car before delivery was a mistake. I was going to get it all paint corrected and ceramic coated anyway but it made my detailer's job much more difficult to remove all the swirling and scratches from the bone heads in the dealership detail. And they put thick coats of wax on to hide it. Seriously, don't let them drill the front plate on and don't let them detail it. Inspect the front spoiler for proper installation as well.
I have a detailer lined up to put on stripes and STEK DYNOshield paint protection, so I’ll have the dealer hold off.

What color stripes are you getting and are they vinyl as well? Just curious because I optioned mine with the factory black/magnetic stripes if they turn out to be just awful might pull them off do some paint correction and put on aftermarket ones

I’m going with solid white stripes, I don’t care for the outside pinstripes on the Ford installed choices.

I was given a build date of Feb 18th, don't know any other details yet. I'll call my person tomorrow to see about this priority thing. I went with Performance blue, no stripes. Was going to see how it looks in person and then think about some aftermarket white stripes

Congrats on getting production approval. Nice to know production will be done as soon as February. Great, you will get the Voodoo engine.

My salesman tells me my Velocity Blue GT350 will be built the week of February 25th.

So........does anyone have any idea how long it will take to get to the Seattle area??!!
I am in the Seattle area also and have a build date of March 4th for my Performance Blue GT350. Figure it will show up in early April. Maybe the snow will be gone by then.

I think the stripes on the 2019 are painted, not decals.

I don't think that came to be unfortunately.
They are painted on the GT500. We will see what they do on the GT350. Wasn't specified or clear when I placed my order.

order guide says painted was removed for job 2, which i think all 19's are job 2... you'd think it'd be economical to do both cars painted though if doing it for the 500 anyway.

Just got off of the phone with my dealer for my 19 GT350. Mine was originally scheduled to be built the week of Feb. 25th but was pushed to March 4th. They are one of the top 100 dealers by volume in the US. He also mentioned in passing that he has heard production for 2019 is going to be very limited and there is no guarantee from this point forward that customer orders (Non dealership allocations, most if not most of which have already been placed) will be filled. He didn't expand on it but it has to do with staging production and preparing for production of the GT500. If you look at the fact that the GT350R is basically unchanged for 2019, and the GT350 has upgrades in handling and aero that have been stated as being based on the work in development to the GT500....This maybe the last year for the Gen 3 GT350 as we know it? It doesn't make sense to have a new GT500 production line starting in the fall at the same plant the current GT350 is being built and still carry the unique engine and platform of the Gen 3 GT350. I guess we will see.

I just finally got my vin yesterday w/ a 3/25 week for build date... Keep us posted if they push yours back more!

I think the non-R will survive.. kinda a mid point between a pp2 and the gt500... but just guessing!
