No, I know BCM is 726 and you can see I'm in the right module on the right screenshot. BdyCM does not have those values. lol on the bright spark....

I did get the R screensaver and the stereo enhancement off. (was weird when i turned it off, i think the amp essentially turned itself off) any other help or thoughts to disable the double honk

Okay - I'm confused. From the module master list, I have the following:

Body Control Module / Generic Electronic Module (BCM/GEM)|BCM/GEM|726
Body Control Module B (BCMB)|BCMB|7B7

The screen shot you're showing has 7B7-01-01 at the top of the list - which is BCM "B". If BdyCM doesn't have 726 values, then you need to rescan the vehicle (delete the profile and start over) to get the correct BCM showing up. You've got one, it's just that Forscan didn't find it.

BCMis the wrong module. Try BdyCM once again, it's definitely there.

First post contains the spreadsheet but I primarily used these instructions.

Instruction Summary

[Disclaimer: I have nothing to do with any of these discoveries and take credit for none of them. I am simply summarizing what a bunch of geniuses/heros came up with in the prior 23 pages of this thread and other threads. I am trying to make this specific for the GT350 here.]
1. Need laptop with windows operating system (make sure date and time are accurate on computer, if outside of extended license range it will not load the extended license, see below about getting extended license)
2. Buy https://amzn.com/B006NZTZLQ OBDLinkMXBluetooth (best connection, wifi prone to disconnections)
If your windows computer does not have bluetooth, also buy https://amzn.com/B009ZIILLI
3. Download forscan http://forscan.org/download.html (to windows computer you will make mods with)
Choose "FORScan version 2.3.9 (or whatever the latest version is at the time) beta for Windows - free." Do not use Wine version. Will need extended license version to make modifications
4. Sign up for forum http://forscan.org/forum/ucp.php?mode=register
5. Wait for registration email from FORScan
6. Obtain extended license http://forscan.org/forum/extlic.php
7. Open FORScan and Click bottom Left "About" button to load license, when successful should read, "Extended License. Registered to..."
8. Plug OBDMX into port
9. Key On, Engine Off. Car should have a full battery and DO NOT let battery get below 11.4V, risk damage. I spent over an hour connected with no battery drain problems. If you have a goal of what you will modify before you connect to car it shouldn't take more than 15min from here on
10. Start forscan on windows computer with bluetooth
11. Click "connect to vehicle" at bottom
12. Click left "Configuration and Programming button"
13. Click on APIM, IPC, BdyCM, ACM (all AS BUILT) or RCM (not AS BUILT) depending what you want to modify:
Module Address Value 1 Value 2 Value 3 Effect Model Year Package
APIM 7D0-02-01 5553 0602 C04A Mustang GT Nav Anim. All Tech/Conv/Elec
APIM 7D0-02-01 5553 0702 C04B Gray GT350 Nav Anim. All Tech/Conv/Elec
APIM 7D0-02-01 5553 0902 C04D Red GT350R Nav Anim. All Tech/Conv/Elec
APIM 7D0-02-01 x5xx xxxx xxxx Stock operation for no NAV in motion
APIM 7D0-02-01 x7xx xxxx xxxx NAV in motion enabled/Sirius Traffic becomes disabled (didnā€™t work for me,
still cannot enter addresses into NAV while in motion)
IPC 720-06-01 7F6D 0664 9E22 No Axle or Trans Oil Temp Display All
IPC 720-06-01 7F6D 1664 9E32 Axle Oil Temp Display All

BCM 726-32-01 0A01 0100 006C Entry Lighting Enable 2016 Track
BCM 726-41-02 0000 0001 0172 No Horn Exit When Running 2016 Track
BCM 726-41-02 0001 0001 0173 Double Horn Exit When Running 2016 Track

BCM 726-41-02 0001 0000 0071 Double Horn Exit When Running 2017 Conv
ACM 727-01-01 1801 C000 0009 Engine Sound Enhancement Disable 2016 Tech (didnā€™t work for
me, I also tried 1801 3808 0089 and 1801 3008 0081 with no change. What finally worked to disable fake sound was 1801 F808 0049)
ACM 727-01-01 1801 3A08 008B Engine Sound Enhancement Enable 2016 Tech
ACM 727-01-01 D800 D000 00D8 Engine Sound Enhancement Disable 2016 Track
ACM 727-01-01 D800 2A00 0032 Engine Sound Enhancement Enable 2016 Track
ACM 727-01-01 1850 F000 44CC Engine Sound Enhancement Disable 2017 Conv
ACM 727-01-01 1850 FA00 44D6 Engine Sound Enhancement Enable 2017 Conv
RCM Enable/Disable Seatbelt minders (can also do it manually without needing FORScan, see below)

14. Hit play button on bottom to show codes in the category from step 13.
15. Make modifications to codes as desired (Write down your original codes in case you want to ever revert changes)
16. Click write. Follow instructions given to cycle "key on engine off" / "key off engine off" if needed.
17. Hit stop button on bottom.
You can also turn off/on the seatbelt minders per the owner's manual page 31 as follows: Key on engine off, then wait until seatbelt light turns off on dash. Once light goes out, wait 5 seconds, then slowly plug/unplug seatbelt three times. After the third time the light will come back on, then plug/unplug one more time. Seatbelt light will now flash to confirm. Repeat on other seat. Repeat to turn back on if desired.

All, I did reload the modules and it appeared. I was able to disable the honk honk.

Most likely hasn't been updated since then... what you can do is check the values and see based on which ones you have by default that it will tell you which one to use to disable or enable. I'm 2016 so I was able to use data that was 3 years old roughly to make these changes.

I apologize for asking this as I havenā€™t followed this thread much.
I now have a 2018 GT350R I bought new last summer.
Is there any benefit of me using the FORSCAN on my 18 or is it mainly beneficial for 2015-2016 cars?
It seems that most of what I see is for the 15-16 Tech cars.

If I can benefit using this on my 18 what will it allow me to do?

Thanks guys!
Appreciate the info!

Congrats on the car! I, too, just asked a similar question. Appears not much from what i can tell. Any experts out there? Ignore Forscan or can us 18 and up peeps do anythj g worthwhile?

One moe thing, not neat a dead you-know-what: anyone figure if if possible to monkey with exhaust setting?

Forscan is a tool that is useful for integrating changes into a car that you're modifying. For instance, if you change the tire size, you can correct the speedo with Forscan. Or, if you want to turn off the double horn honk when you close the doors with the key inside, Forscan is the tool to do it.

If you're happy with the car as it is, and you don't want to change anything, then you don't need Forscan.

Whether this stuff all works on an 18 is a good question - there's no reason it shouldn't, but then Ford sometimes changes things under the skin that you don't find out about until later, but most of the time stuff that worked last year will work this year too.

I changed the following things on my 2018 GT350 and find all changes very useful and some even life saving thru prevented heart attacks (e.g. the honks and chimes terror):
  • Chimes on ACM only
  • Panic Alarm no Horn but still flashing indicator lights
  • Head Light Switch On Delay minimal (2s)
  • No Double Horn on exit when engine is running
  • Engine Sound Enhancement Disabled
  • Hyperflash disabled (because of LED Switchback bulbs)
  • Average Speed In Trip Menu

What does "Engine Sound Enhancement "sound like? Am I not hearing it in my gt350 ? Is the slight buzz/whining sound from the speakers?

It's an artificial engine sound played on the stereo. Way better if switched off imho.

It's a fake engine sound played through the interior speakers in sync with the actual engine sound. The goal is to give the occupants the sense that the exhaust is louder than it really is.

The only way to find out how it works is to turn it off - you can't "hear" it because it's just an amplification of the sounds the car makes already. From what I've read, when you turn it off, the engine sound is more muted, as though someone had installed sound insulation.

Thanks. Iā€™ve been dragging my feet on doing this and plan to make it my rainy weather project.
