Had these door props made by R&D Metal Works in Waco, TX. I found him on eBay and he drew up the plans for these for me.

Quick turnaround and great quality!!

Just realized (duh!!) that by using the door props it's going to cause the map lights and interior ambient lighting to stay on.

What are my remedies to fix the lights turning on?

Pull fuse(s)? Which ones?

Some sort of power switch to shut power off, or just disconnect the battery? Any issues?

Thanks

FYI in case you are worried about battery drain, the lights will turn off automatically after a while. When I wash my car I leave all the doors (and everything else) open over night in the garage to allow any water in seams to evaporate.

Thanks, I didn't realize that. Mine stay on for quite a while, but I guess I've never had the doors open that long to see if they shut off.

Thanks!!

I believe you can close the door latch tricking the car to think the door is closed.Just remember to unlock the doors before closing :)
