I have owned my new MY2018 GT for about 5 months. Quite often when I get in the car I get an error message on the Sync 3 screen: "Navigation not working properly". So that's it, no Navigation for an hour or so, then later in the day, Hey Presto, it works. I've had this several times.... Anyone else?

Not had that specific error but have found my navigation freezing on several occasions. Either when flicking between the nav/radio/settings etc, or annoyingly mid journey. I think it's been stuck on "calculating route" a few times. I don't use it that often so not too bothered.

I'm probably not running the latest version either.

have you wrapped the antenna (Roof nipple) or put paint over it?

Master reset? Probably what Ford will take a day to do first time it goes in...

Yes, try a master reset first. Also make sure you have the latest update and maps, all of which are available at

https://www.ford.co.uk/owner/resources-and-support/sync-bluetooth/update#/

These are end user updates and no need for a trip to the garage. I had map loading problems when I updated to Sync3 V3.0 (18025) but that was solved after the map update to V7. The Sync update takes about 20 minutes, the map update is in two parts with an ignition cycle in between (35 minutes and about 1 hour) all of which you need to have the ignition on. Best to do it on a long journey.

No sure if this is still an issue for you. I had it myself. It turned out to because faulty GPS antenna. Mine was replaced last week and it's been perfect since.

My work was done at Hills Ford in Malvern in case you need your dealer to have a chat with them.
