Newer sync 3 themes?

So looking at the new 2020 explorer from Ford, it appears a new standard sync 3 theme is coming. With that said, Ford seems to be moving away from integrated displays and going more for the tablet on dash look (screen floating over the dash with the APIM separated from the display).

Anyone have any information on if a sync update is coming? Sync 3 4.0? I think that would be the best chance of getting this new theme if it is even coming to our sync models....

Not Tesla but European Auto makers... BMW/Volvo etc did it first. Tesla's screen was integrated into the dash before the model 3.

The screen stuck thoughtlessly atop the dash is a non starter. Can’t think of a make or model of car that incorporates this style that I could bring myself to own.

That's version 3.4 which won't work on normal MY16-17 units...as it's bigger in size.
Our team made it work of course ;)

That's the theme! Although I much prefer the night version.

After spending an appreciable amount of time in euro cars I've come to appreciate that placement. They tend to put more effort on the function of display panels and button/control placements.

In an effort to add classic design elements to the Mustang Ford borked up some of the modern design aspects.

I like that theme much better. I loaded the GT theme as I couldn't take the powder blue. I'd really like a true black theme as that would match the digital dashboard.

That's the theme! Although I much prefer the night version.

Problem with the night version is they cut the brightness down so low is it becomes unreadable in the the daytime.

Do you know if Sync 3.4 would be compatible with the upcoming 19 350's? I recently saw a pic of a running 19 350 interior, and the Sync 3 version that it was running seems to the the current one.
