Hi Chris,

Loving the look with the winter wheels & tyres!

Just to let you know, we will have a Cervini's order going in the start of the new year and should have it with us the 3rd week of Jan:

https://nemesisuk.com/products/cervinis-cseries-chin-spoiler-4442-mb

Considering the current exchange rates that is at around 1.25 at the minute + 3.5% Duty & + 20% VAT + £19.95 UK Delivery (or free if you wish to collect) it works out at a total shipping cost around £95.00 Inc VAT. For the size of it, we believe is it pretty fair price.

Hi Chris,

No problem. We will be open until Thursday this week. We will also be in on Friday but would need to confirm timings as we are popping out for a staff xmas lunch.

We will then return on the 2nd of January.

Ordered my cervini splitter from Cj and shipped via STS imports. Around £350 delivered. On a lowered car too the durability of this thing has been tested a few times and I can say it's as tough as old boots. (-: And looks the absolute bollocks.

So thanks to Guy at Nemesis my Cervini Splitter arrived promptly and excellent customer service as always.

On to the install, the 30min guide is a complete work of fiction took closer to 2 hours albeit I was taking my time and the -1 temp didn’t help either !

So this is how it was before the change with the D Maxton GRP splitter that I managed to break shortly after fitting (gently nudged a kerb!). To be honest I never quite gelled with the splitter the gloss black finish didn’t go with the rest of the car and shouted aftermarket.

Car jacked up and on axel stands either side. (Left jack in as a back up just in case )

First off was the DMaxton splitter

Then the belly pan

Then the OEM GT splitter was off, arms getting tired and new battery for drill at this point as there are hundreds of screws securing these parts on !

Cervini splitter on, what a pig that is as I could not get the angled drill into the screws so had to use a tiny racket to tighten them all up.

New splitter looks great. Any photos with the car back on the ground?

I bought a Maxton splitter on the strength of your thread but went for the standard finish so it didnt look so aftermarket. Was also concerned the gloss black would chip very easily!

Some pictures of the new splitter fixings

For the middle section above the instructions said to use the original splitters push pins. Firstly they wouldn’t fit and secondly I wasn’t comfortable they would be a strong enough hold. So I used the original screws and fixings to secure it.

All going swimmingly at this point. Until I came to refit the belly pan. No I see why there is a difference in opinion online as to whether these fit the UK Performance Pack models. They don’t as the belly pan is too short.

This is what the instructions said to do, which is to use spaces to traverse the deeper gap but that didn’t make any sense. Firstly the belly pan was too short and did not protrude far enough into the splitter to enable the spaces to sit vertically. Secondly you can access the original fixing points as the new splitter is covering the then and as there is an air gap at this point between the splitter and bumper you can drill through either.

Much head scratching later I found a work around. Whereby I used the long screws supplied in the kit with large washers and drilled through to secure into the bottom of the bumper with the screws hidden behind the splitter mounting points with in the air gap.

Feels rock solid and looks good so I’m happy with the end result.

So this is how she sits now, I really like the look. Still keeps the OEM look and feel but more aggressive. The finish is very close to the OEM Matt textured finish but is notably rougher. I struggled to wipe the microfibre cloth across it.

You can see in the picture below the three splitter mounting points in the gap in the middle that I used to hide the belly pan mounting screws in

Beautiful...as you say, works better without the gloss black piece. All you need now is the lower GT grille to finish off ;)

Thanks and Don’t tempt me I have been eyeing either the US GT variant which is so much nicer than ours or changing both grilles for the Cervini ones which look great too.

That’s a bumper off job so that can wait until the summer...

ooh yes, good point. The Cervini upper/lower combo also looks killer. Depends if you wanna keep the pony as is I guess.

Beware of the bastard bolt behind the wing, need the right tool for that. Fairly straightforward job IMO - wheels off would make it easier but doable with them on.

So suns out time to get these winter wheels off as they are too soft and squidgy for these temps.

Love the special edition wheels and the stance with the car lowered and spaced. The wheels really fit the arches.

I’ve also ditched the P Zeros as they are dreadful and gone for Michelin Pilot Sports 4S. The do sit wider in the rim with a huge lip to protect the alloys.
I did read on another forum that these tyres can rub the arches due to the ‘squarer profile’, but I’ve not had any issues so far with mine despite how it looks in the pics !!

So continuing with the theme of emptying my wallet not only has the car benefitted from new rear tyres it’s also had its first service at the Ford main dealers, tax and insurance this month. All in all an expensive month.

On the topic of the ford main dealer I will be writing in to complain as they’ve managed to damage my wheel but and scuff the alloy too. Not impressed!!
