I purchased a Steeda Jacking rail to install on my 2018 GT convertible, part number 555-5207. The indentation on the pinch weld shown below will not allow the rail to sit flat against the bottom of the car because the rail is too wide. I was told by the Steeda customer service representative that because the rail was installed, I was subject to a 20% restocking fee. TJ, any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

I donā€™t know if this is a problem with 2018ā€™s in general or just a fluke with mine, but I wanted to share my experience so you donā€™t run into the same issue. Mark

IIRC the 'verts require a different rail?

Nevermind checked you have the right one.

I would tell Steeda that the product is not fit for the purpose for which it was bought. Therefore, the transaction is not valid. Simply return if you dont want it and contest the credit card charge.

Sorry to hear about your problem but good to know as I was considering purchasing these for my car to facilitate the seasonal tire change. I ultimately decided for what will be for the moment twice a year that I'm just going to use the jack (I have a spare and kit) on each corner and will use my impact gun to raise and lower the car.

Can you send us some more photos? We are unaware of any issues on the 2018 convertible. Please send [email protected] manufacturing wants to check to make sure we can see everything you are depicting in the photo.

Thank you

Additional photo was sent yesterday to Jigar ( customer service). The indentation is approximately 10ā€ from the rear most front mounting bolt. The indentation does not allow the jacking rail to sit flat against the bottom of the car.

Iā€™m guessing the coupes donā€™t have that notch or is this unique among the ā€˜18 vert from the 15-17s?

I donā€™t know the answer to that question. It could be that my notch is larger than normal and it fits fine on other 18 convertibles.

I have the Steedas on my 18 vert and they fit fine. Maybe they weren't manufactured properly.

I just installed a set from Steeda on my 2018 yesterday, works fine. Maybe Steeda fixed the issue or you got a bad set.
