I thought they didn’t have back seats?
You are right, but Ford Performance sells a $999 backseat kit that you can buy and I had it installed the first week I got the car. I purchased the car as a family car and that's why I needed the backseat. Hey don't laugh, I needed a car with backseats and still drives great and the Shelby GT350R fitted the bill (I also have a Viper, Mclaren 570S, 67 Vette, and a GT3 all with only 2 seats)
The backseat not only adds 2 seats, since they fold and large items can now be stored in the trunk using the pass through to the back of the cabin. When there's no way to carry a bicycle in the trunk of an R w/ backseat delete, now you can.

Lol. I just thought you paid extra for no back seat then paid again to add one. Only other difference is the wing and rims ? From the standard gt350. I was going to buy the r then decided I wanted a back seat.

But the "only other difference is the wing and rims" cost $16K for the wheels and $13K for the wing!!! Plus suspension calibration is different too. But hey I have a family to carry and I wanted a R, so what's wrong with that?

Nothing at all. I was just curious because I went back and forth for a week before I bought mine. Just fishing for someone else’s thoughts

There is a video on YT that stated the R has a different engine than a standard GT350. Maybe it's BS, but it got my attention.

Thank you!!! Got a couple offers in the low 60's from my Craigslist ad so far but the car is too special to give it away.

Agree. I think that's a really nice price on it. GLWS.

That video is wrong.
I haven't seen this video people speak of but I do remember reading official Ford info about how the R's valve train is not the same as a regular 350's valve train.
