i personally did the base to sync3 swap.... parts were around 700 and took me about 3 hours of labor.... the parts for car play is another 100ish.

sure you can go aftermarket with a metra kit but it doesnt look factory and they are still having issues with the boards.

I have sync3...with sat......apple car play 3.0 all for around $800 and its all factory parts.

I know this is old, but I saw that you were going to try to swap the ACMs in your base so you could get Sirius. I want to do that as well, but without the Sync 3.

The part I'm hung up at is which module to change in FORScan and to what value? Wondering if I just use the Sync 3 value. I saw another person here that got the dealership to install the ACM which allowed him to select satellite radio using the media button on the steering wheel.

Unless you get a 4.2” screen from an F150 you can’t add Sirius. It’s been tried many times before.

Sorry, not a facebook guy. Is there a way to ask and or order the parts to go Sync3 w/nav on 2016 V6? I don't mind not having the toggle switches at the bottom. Thanks, I've read so much in this thread my head is spinning!

Hello, I have problems with few DTCs after conversion from base to Sync3.

I didint swap 23, 24, 25, 26 pins, as I dont need Sirius. And left old base ACM.

Also retrofitted heated and cooling seats with premium FCIM.

Everything works as it should, but I have left theese DTCs:
FCIM:
Both solar sensors and right HVAC damper position sensor
APIM:
Lost communication with radio
Lost communication with digital autio control module D


At first i want you to know, I have read almost all thread and found what i need to change for FCIM DTCs but that dont help, maybe i need to change something more? I attach photos with my curent coding.

Values I found here included 73, 6F, 6D, 68. According to the F150 spreadsheet, this relates to the tire circumference. It's in an area that has other settings for the backup camera, not sure if it affects the Reverse Sensing System.

I was never able to get all of the DTCs to go away, but they didn't interfere with the operation of anything. I think you've done as much as you can do.

I have swaped seats from premium mustang, you need to connect two can wires in main harness, one additional positive from fusebox, and need harness from passenger seat module to drivers seat. Everything works as it should

so the car will always have a check engine light on?
