So, my 2016 GT's engine bay is all OEM and I'm looking to go CAI and tune this black friday season.

Should I go with the new closed proflow intake, or the 15-17 open intake? and tune required or no tune required?

I plan on just running pump gas. 93.

Some help needed peeps.

I'd recommend the closed lid as long as not running flex tune.

Still looking to sell mine only on the car for a week in case interested.

I wonder is a wire mesh screen would balance the air flow and simmer down the MAF signal? I used to have this problems when self tuning with SF/Commando and an old project. Some mustangs used to come with screens inline from the factory. I would be an easy thing to test. The inlet tube is so large even the loss of flow from the mass of wire probably wouldn't matter. Although, I still think a tuner will be able to get it adjusted fine.

If I can't get a blower on the car this winter, I'm going to try the Steeda CAI since I have half their catalog on my car anyway, lol. Might as well stick with the winners. :)

Good Luck.

Closed box one. I have the open one and the AIT do go up especially when you are in traffic. I switched back to the stock one and temps have been only 5-6 degrees above ambient.

Good looking unit. Wish I could've kept mine on. It's almost Incognito even when the cover is on.

Cool, I was just looking through Steeda's black friday sales and they have pretty good deals on them right now. How much are you selling it for?

Kevin, on your next order - shoot me an email & I will see what we can do price wise - always looking to take care of the customer & understand the frustration when something goes on sale after a long wait!
