Hydrodipping is nice and all if you find a realistic looking CF pattern. I know they exist, but I've yet to see it in person. Most hydrodipped "CF" I've seen is basically black and silver checkerboards.

Mine will be a blue carbon fiber. Essentially this; part painted something close to lightning blue then dipped into a film of black and clear CF yielding a blue carbon fiber look.

this exactly. i have vinyl wrap that is very hard to tell the difference, but every dip i've seen you can tell from a mile away its not real. it just doesn't have the depth.

I say go for it (as you can see I may be a bit biased). I would suggest that you pick one cf vendor if you can since cf weave, shininess, etc can differ and you want them to look the same.

That steering wheel......./drools. I love the CF of the....whatever area that is around the shifter/armrest area (your knob reminds me of my red Raceseng). I can't remember if I asked this of you already? Is that an overlay or an entire new piece?

Who did your parts?
Answer on post #22

How is the quality of their stuff? I was looking at them but the fact their in China and they dont seem to even have a phone number gives me pause, should something be wrong.
Quality is excellent and the couple small imperfections I did find were quickly remedied with replacment parts via their customer service. YMMV

I've purchased several overlays from Aliexpress. I've found that the photos on the product pages to be accurate representations of what it looks like installed.

My two favorites are:
https://www.aliexpress.com/store/pr...icker-2015-2016-2017/2798038_32819948458.html

and

https://www.aliexpress.com/item/For...ver-Trim-Sticker-Car-Styling/32819001118.html

I think those two give you the most bang for the buck. I've also installed:

https://www.aliexpress.com/item/For...-Decor-Frame-Cover-2015-2016/32819125080.html

and

https://www.aliexpress.com/item/For...ver-Trim-Car-Styling-Sticker/32819173008.html

While those pieces look fine, I'm less satisfied with how they look when compared to the dashboard overlays.

We have been involved with 3d immersion (Hydro dipping) for over 13 years. We mainly did other makes and models. But now that we are manufacturing more, and more Mustang parts, we are gearing up to do beautiful carbon finishes for the 6th Gen too.

Our process has always been multi step just like O.E factory industry has been doing for many years. It will not fade or crack. Polished to a beautiful show shine luster. Again, the process has been around a while we just are getting acquainted with the Mustang interiors and engine bays. So in the beginning to speed things up we might require people to send in their cores or what ever they want done.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us by either email [email protected] or phone 1800 778 9898

Thank you

I know this is really late but wondering which shift knob this is? And steering wheel? I have a ruby red as well and I’m trying to bring the color into the interior.

Or you can try hydrodipping...I'm going to give it a go here soon. Already have a few extra interior parts to use so I can still have the stock ones if needed. There are two vendors on ebay (thepartsfarm and midwaymustangparts) that have stang parts taken from wrecked vehicles where the parts are in great shape. I even have shaker door panels from them so I can have the two speakers in the door instead of the one. Kansas Hydrographics has what you need and they are more than happy to talk to you for tips and tricks. Also, K2Forums (something like that) has a ton of youtube videos on it as well.
Hi. Have you done any HydroDipping of interior parts yet? just wondering, I would rather have a pattern not like everyone else's such as CF, But CF does look great
