Don't take this too hard, but it's a hard sell for me as well. The SC should be a pretty sweet setup!

Just remember, your car, you do you!

Just remember this.......
Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. You wanna bust balls about a clone of sorts, but what about those idiots that put HUGE rear wing type spoilers on cars. That is a travesty.

I think I should put a 5.0 badge on my EB if I can do 0-60 in 5.0 seconds.

I think it looks great. Personally, I prefer Ford's pony emblems on the V6 and Ecoboosts better than the somewhat uninspired "GT" emblem on the decklid panel. Your Cobra emblem one-ups those!

Very well stated, you’ve partially restored my faith in humanity.
I’m making my V6 into a P-51 Tribute car. I originally wanted to make a Saleen or Shelby tribute, but decided on this because there’s no cars out there (except a few Roush examples) so I’m not worried about any comments, even though I’m sure I’ll get some anyway. Bottom line is, you do what you want and don’t let anyone else put you down. Keep us posted and enjoy your build!

Not that hard to do. Just find a steep enough hill to do the run down.

Thank you to all who served.
And...
The Cobra badges look awesome! I'm surprised more people haven't done it because it looks so good Major improvement. If mine weren't already blacked out I'd do it too.

And to all the purists, I’ve owned Mustangs for over 20 years, so I know it’s not a “real” Cobra. As far as I’m concerned, the last real Cobra came out in 04. Not taking anything away from the Shelby lineup over the years, because those are awesome vehicles, but I miss the good old SVT Cobra, prior to that departments demise and the rise of the Shelby being the top offering. In any case, made a few visual exterior mods to separate myself from the pack. Also ordering a Whipple stage 2 with the 3rd gen head unit to make the go match the show.
Looks fantastic zero_chance. Was wondering when someone else would try this on the trunk panel.

Man, those emblems are pretty sad. To each his own though.
If you like your car to look like every other car on the road, that’s your choice. The Cobra’s been dead for 14 years, nobody’s going to mistake me for a 2004. And I suppose all you naysayers think all the Eleanor GT500 clones and Boss clones for the last 40 plus years are pretty sad too, right?

It's your car. It has to make you happy first and foremost. If it riles up the purist snobs then that's their problem. I think the lone cobra emblems look cool.

I'm slowly building up my car to pay tribute to the '67 GT500- a car I've always lusted over, but I'll never be able to afford. I'm not doing it to fool anyone. I'm doing it to make me happy while having a modern car I can daily. Life is way too short to fret about the opinions of strangers.
