Hey guys. So yesterday night I noticed the car making a high-pitched grinding/scratching noise when I'm in any gear going from roughly 1500 to 2000 rpm. The noise isn't there when I'm in neutral, or at any other RPM . Am I fucked? Anyone know what it could be? Also happens in reverse. I checked my oil and it's in between the lines on the dip-stick and I fill up a quart of Motorcraft 5W-50 every ~800-1000 miles. Is it something serious where I should take it to the dealer ASAP? Thanks for any help in advance.

Also, the car has 5,650 miles (2017) and the oil was changed at 3,000 miles.

Since it goes away in neutral I don't think its engine related, but rather further down the drivetrain, clutch/tranny/driveshaft/diff? Definitely let the dealer look into it.

Go to a safe place, drive the car and turn it off. Coast and listen to the drivetrain. Maybe you could isolate at 2 a moving part of the drivetrain rather than a moving part of the engine.
