Stiff diff bushings are know to generate a lot of NVH. I really can't fathom why so many people replace them.

Stiff diff bushings are know to generate a lot of NVH. I really can't fathom why so many people replace them.
I did it more as a "while I was in there" mod, but now I regret it. I'm going to take them out soon.

Stiff diff bushings are know to generate a lot of NVH. I really can't fathom why so many people replace them.
My guess - wheel hop under hard launching and WOT 1st gear acceleration.

If that's not a consideration, and I don't think it should be for HPDE or even time trialing, stiff diff bushings belong somewhere between way down on the list and not on it at all.

They're sort of analogous to the UCA on the S197, where if your driving doesn't get into wheel hop you might as well leave it alone.
