Yeah, there's no fight here. It's a Federal speeding ticket, since it was in a national park. Evidently most such tickets don't show up on driving records, from what I've found on the internet.

That was one of the joys of living in NOVA — there are something along the lines of 6 to 8 ticketing agencies, especially inside the beltway.

Also, I use a Uniden R3 radar detector every where in VA and on the BRP. Has saved me many times.

They are still "illegal", but the state law is also "illegal". Receivers are regulated by the FCC and take precedent over state laws, and radar detectors are not illegal at the Federal level. If you're caught with a radar detector in VA it's a $100 ticket. Also, the BRP is a National Park and radar detectors are not illegal in National Parks. Laws....
