So the @whipplesuperchargers Stage 2 with Whipple Flare tune install is complete.

First, huge shoutouts to the Whipple team (Charles and Jeff!) and my buddy Dennis (SC Ruby).

The Whipple Kit is awesome. Everything is labeled and fits perfectly. Literally no complaints. The instructions are almost perfect. I say almost, because they misquoted one wrench size causing me an unneeded trip to my tool box. Seriously, out of like 250 steps the only issue was they misquoted ONE wrench size. There is no point talking about the install, because everything you need to know is in the instructions. So with that I'm just going to recap some photos.

Everything in the kit is labeled like these bags. You'd have to try pretty hard to mess something up. Most labels even include that part number that matches the label on the components.

I went with their oversized heat exchanger core. Because Arizona, and I heard the fans were super loud.

Mid tear down. I need to figure out my catch can set up with the whipple kit. I want to keep the Radium cans as they work very well. Ignore the dirty bay, again Arizona.

Almost done.

With the recent popularity of the sound tube mods and not wanting to scratch the crap out of my arm in removing the stock sound tube, I tried a little experiment. I cut the stock sound tube at the K-Brace just before the square bulge. I had a left over connector from the Whipple kit that fit in this tube.

I then took a chunk of the left over heater hose that was cut out as part of the Whipple install. I found that it fit perfectly between the sound tube and the Whipple air box. The bends even complemented the path. I just needed to head to the auto parts store and pick up another connector and a rubber grommet.

I drilled a 13/16 hole in the air box using a uni bit.

I then cut the end of the heater hose off.

Bada Bing! Ghetto Sound Tube.

It actually works pretty well, the sound is noticeable louder, and best of all, one less cut/scratch on my arm. I have a better looking hose clamp on order and also some heat shrink tubing to match the rest of the Whipple install. I'm sure the other sound tubes work better, but with the price of a rubber grommet and a plastic connector I'm pretty happy.

Nice! I thought I heard some extra noises from your car this morning when you pulled into the parking garage. :)

You figured out your gas situation yet? Our 91 here is knock-city by itself... and E85 is scarce.

So far so good. I'm running the whipple flare tool and I have the octane adjust feature turned on so I'm praying that does its job.

A couple of small updates. I finally got my roof re-wrapped. This time by professionals. They also whipped up a nice "low key" banner for me.

I was also finally received the newest shipment of badges (available now at the spacecityspy store). I wanted to come out with a new design after so many others decided to pay a little to much homage to what we had done. I love this new design. I feel it's more in line with the cobra badge which in my eyes is a good thing. I have some other things in the works so stay tuned.

Looks great man. Can't wait to get a set of fender badges when they are released.

I just finished installing the new Raceseng reverse lock out pull. I love Raceseng; their quality is so outstanding and I love the all black look.
I also like that with this reverse lock out it enables you to use their entire line of shift knobs. Before with the old lockout it was just limited to the ones with the larger bore holes. I also took this opportunity to wrap the shit boot ring black.

Raceseng vs. my old aftermarket billet pull.
