I just wanted to make a thread to see if anyone out there has had a GT350 that was a lemon and what happened.

If you had a lemon. What problems did the car have. How long was it out of service. Who did you talk to complain/file for a lemon and what wasn’t the end result.

Start with your state's lemon law.

Generally the two scenarios which makes a car a lemon is 30 days in service or three attempts to fix an issue.

You then have two options: File a lemon case with Ford or hire a lemon law attorney.

I would avoid filing a case with Ford at all costs as Ford RAV is nothing but a long painful process that usually results in nothing good.

Read up on your state's lemon law then contact a lemon law attorney is your best best.

Ford doesn't negotiate out of court so they will initially offer you a cash settlement. If you want a buyback or a replacement vehicle you will need to sue or go through Ford.

Did you hire a lawyer or did you do it all yourself?

By Myself, most lawyers did not want to take it unless it was a slam dunk or could lead into a large class action.

Yeah, POS lawyers are all about the money, not actually helping people out. Finding one to take a straight up lemon lawed or buyback car is quite difficult.

C'mon. If you had a choice between making $500k in a year or making $150K and "helping people," which would you choose? Why would we expect anything different from a lawyer?

And you CAN find a lawyer willing to do cases like this, just not on contingency; you'll have to pay a retainer. You're also not likely to hire one with an established clientele, because they're already busy, and they won't be willing to add to their current case load unless you make it worth their while. That makes them no different than most of us, who won't work overtime unless we get time-and-a-half.

If you look at States that require lawyers to report their pro bono work you'll find that somewhere between 35% - 60% volunteer some of their time each year to folks who can't afford standard legal fees.

For the record, I'm not a lawyer, nor do I know anyone who is a lawyer. I just don't think it's fair to knock on people for trying to make as much money as they can. We all do it.

If I were a lawyer and I were going to help someone for a reduced charge, it wouldn't be a GT350 owner. It would be someone who couldn't afford a GT350.
