I didnt know you had top mount kit on, I think that is awesome you had the sleeper kit on for just bowling green hence the "lmao" not the avg guy can do that.
yes i had top mount on since December and Hellion asked to put sleeper kit on to see how it would run....i guess a benefit of living 10 miles from Hellions shop!

I think the other reason is the cost. It's not exactly cheap to go Turbo on this car unless you're the money bags guy that has the sleeper kit and the regular kit both, lol.

So were you just been “neighborly “ allowing them to see what the sleeper kit would do on your car ?

I would assume there would have been something in it for you?

The 18’s are just barely a year old now from the early (Sept) builds. Internet Fear Porn is one big reason. Guy’s were popping their Gen 1’s left and right over on svtperformance circa 2011-2013. My buddy on stock 17 GT had a short block replaced @ 6500 miles. Many Gen 2 had same problem.

You then have a factory 7500 rpm motor that has a little piston clearance and makes a little noise on start up (gen 3) and every tool in the shed is screaming bloody murder on Boobtube. Sure there are some failures happening on stock 18’s. This is not New news. Shit happens and parts break. Some motors make 1200 whp. Some die stock. Buy a 13k MMR 2000 motor if you want more peace of mind. Blah blah...

Nice. Even nicer if your grabbing gears and making that pass.
.
Good luck with that. That's a tall damn mountain to climb.

Just finished working on a 2018 who was swapping from a JT trim to a Hellion Sleeper twin setup. Hellion killed it with this kit! Car is gonna run!!!

I thought about twin turbos, but I couldn't find any 2018 kits that would meet New York Emissions. Went Whipple and am very happy.

Emailed On3 over the weekend and they responded to me that they are planning on having a twin turbo kit for the 2018+ Mustang GT shipping by January.

Those tranny
I'd love to see some in-car videos of Joe Shmoe 5.5psi on 91 octane hellion or other turbo kit, to see how the tune is locked in, how it shifts at WOT, etc. Seems strange over a year after this car has been on the streets that I literally can't find a single in-car video of a turbo 2018 GT?
those trannys and engines are blowing up too often that probably why

Says who? where? find me a blown up turbo setup.
even all the jackholes on youtube claiming their 2018 makes noise ive yet to see one blowup.

All the ones ive seen had dealerships hail marty throwing parts at the noise.

Ill agree some tick and make noise but that doesnt not = blown up.

lets be reasonable going for 1100 on stock engine is foolish.
It has been done. 1000+ is pretty normal for turbo cars with OPG and CS and supporting fuel system

I didnt say it couldnt be done. Go ahead hail marry a dyno pull for that giant number.

I still say its foolish and unreasonable for a stock engine.

Gee how long do you think 1k+ is going to last on a stock engine?
