Heard there may be a dealer meeting this week? Is that correct? Could the Shelby be discussed/seen there?

Sounds like DCT was an issue then with supply. So the (potential) delay was to retrofit the 10sp with a carbon driveshaft??

Am I on the right track here ? ;)

I really don't think DCT was ever in the plan ...

I really hope those numbers are right. With all the delays. Having a monster like that will take some of the sting out of the red eyes horse power reveal.

I don't know for sure. That is what I was told. It may explain why the development is taking so long.

Nobody can be certain what this is going to be until it is released.

Just like all the other stuff you have been hearing from the "experts", it dosn't mean anything until Ford releases the numbers. If the numbers are right and the rest is in line, everyone's happy. If not, then a bridge will probably be burned and I pass on the 500.

I already gave up on the 500. I strapped a blower on my gt. And looking to make 700ish at the wheels this week. Once I swap intakes.

Agreed. The 10R80/10L90 application has already been shown to have iterations that work across several platforms from the Mustang to the Camaro ZL1. Would make sense to spread that cost around to use the same box but maybe have stronger internals of course to support the torque requirements of say a GT500 or whatever. Plus DCT boxes are HEEEEEEAVY. It's basically two transmissions in one.
