Whelp...i was impressed with that claim

When i mentioned that was am impressive boost for a pulley he gave me a list of his carbon fiber light weight replacements as further argumentative proof... .

I always try to give everyone the benefit of the doubt but I don't see how that claim can be true.

File it under "stupid stuff people say at cars and coffee"?

Last time I checked my buddy's 11 dynod over 660 something with a couple bolt on and a tune, what he stated is easily attainable.

Last time I checked my buddy's 11 dynod over 660 something with a couple bolt on and a tune, what he stated is easily attainable.
About 60 to 80 hp is typical for those mods.

An 11 had 550hp which would put it around 620hpish.

An 09 had 500 which would put it around 570hpish

Ahh..i see now. Mine was an 11 and i was going off this.

"50-70RWHP and 50-70RWTQ on 10+ (measured at wheels)."

It seems you can Tune an 09 to the same as a 10 to 12 so they both end up around 620 which is what I had mine was at with a pulley, tune, Roush exhaust and intake .

Not going to lie to you, I don't miss that car and my 18 is faster in and puts down the power better in most places that matter..

My 11GT500 was pretty much a poster child of too much tq, too short of gears and not enough tire.....which is why I now run 3.15 gears on 305 wide rears...

Only place I miss my GT500 is if I want to just eat pavement on the freeway and I'm already going 40+mph to begin with (which to me was where my GT500 was in its element). I can beat a 12 boss Laguna from a highway roll still though. ;)

Anyway...

Wonder where he got the 680??

Right, but he was starting with 550HP, +110 I could believe, +180? That sounds like bunk - but who knows, maybe he's spinning the hell out of the stock blower, running a race gas tune, has a lot of performance stickers, etc. :D

Compensated for IRS parasitic drive train loss levels even though it's a LRA...lol

~540-550 at the tire is the general range for a pulley/tune/CAI early car. IIRC, my '07 was 543.
