Nice! We'll compare notes on the weekend then. Good luck!Mine should be going on by week's end as well.. Right before I store it for the winter lol.
But I should get a good weekend of driving first at least.
6hrs? Sounds like plenty of opportunity to light up those tyres. Be prepared to change them more often too! LOL!Yeah sounds good!
I have a 6hr drive next weekend so I'm to have the manifold and my shifter installed by then. I'm actually looking forward to take offs from stops and feeling the stang pull harder without going wot. But hitting up some twisties sounds fun too lol
It has quite similar WOT performance to an LS3 with this manifold. Torque curves very, very similar, as is the drop off point.Temper your expectations a bit guys - it's not like a whole different car.
I will say that 5th gear downshifts when passing on the highway are phenomenal … the mid-range punch is there for sure!
My previous car was a Pontiac G8 GXP manual with the LS3 and I'd concur although that revved LAZY compared to the Coyote … I'd take the Coyote any day!It has quite similar WOT performance to an LS3 with this manifold. Torque curves very, very similar, as is the drop off point.
No question there! My previous car was a Pontiac G8 GXP manual with the LS3 and I'd concur although that revved LAZY compared to the Coyote … I'd take the Coyote any day!
What else is done or is it just the manifold? The first two pulls were done in 5th gear, one of which had some issues. The dyno started flaking out at 180MPH on both pulls. The final pull was in 4th, but it didn't make much difference in HP or TQ. It looks like the truck manifold still makes descent power out to 7K though.
Yeah, does this car have a CAI + long tube headers + exhaust + tune? Numbers seem quite low, so I presume it was just a manifold swap since ~380RWHP = ~435 crank HP = stock GT.What else is done or is it just the manifold?
Exactly unless the dyno is just a dream killer this is significantly lower than it should be. even with just a CAI id expect to still see around 410 rwhp.Yeah, does this car have a CAI + long tube headers + exhaust + tune? The VMP manifold shoot-out showed the Trunk manifold resulted in approx 453RWHP and 413RWTQ on a FBO motor.
