So I got locked out of 2nd and ended up losing 2nd completely. Anytime I placed the car in 2nd afterwards the transmission would fight me and kick itself out of gear. There is also LOUD grinding noise. I dropped it off at Ford Thursday, they gave me a rental. Let's see how this goes but in total I have: the BBQ tick, low RPM rattle, the clutch grind on shifts above 6000 RPM and now the tranny issues. I live in Canada, there is no lemon law here so can't go that route. Sucks cause I was waiting years to get my 5.0 finally and now this is what I ended up with :frown:

Update: They called me yesterday and said they need a special tool to open the transmission which will not be there until Monday. They also said they're is grinding into 4th gear as well now.

Well my car is still at the dealer, over 30 days but that means nothing in Canada. Broken 1-2 shift fork is what I've been told.

If I had to wait that long, I would just get a Ben Calimer updated MT-82 that doesn't break, and tell the dealer to install it. Sure, it's $1,800, but it's worth it, imo. Not sure he has any though.

I almost did just that when they had to replace my clutch, but the 2018 McCleod RXT wasn't out yet. Sure enough, it comes out 2 weeks after they put a new OEM clutch in. Go figure.

This same thing happened to my mt82 on my 2011 they said it was my 2nd gear syncro though. It was a nightmare repair though, this was back in 2015. Ford had the car for like 40 days before parts even arrived, then 20 more days for the first unsuccesfull rebuild, then 37 more days for the 2nd attempt. 97 days in total, when I got it back it still wasnt 100% so I sold the car.

Definitely do what the guy above me said, or somehow swap in a t56 magnum. or maybe trade toward a used gt350 which has a different transmission or a 10 speed gt imo, if you can.

I haven’t heard of a car lemon lawed just for the shift forks in the States, so there is that but I could be wrong. For what it’s worth we don’t have to deal with the flood car and hail car shenanigans that they have to in the States.
