1500HP half shafts + 850HP driveshaft - make any sense?

Not trying to hijack the thread, but what power level is the stock MT82 driveshaft tend to crap the bed at? I am in pretty much the same situation as op and haven’t decide on one brand over the other or doing one or both at the same time. I’m boosted pushing around 800hp through my stock d/s and axles.

that will depend on how your driving, power shifting. the mt82 has been 9's before, a good clutch is key

Yeah I’m on the Calimer GeForce gearset and a mantic clutch and am debating on axles and a d/s or just axles and see how the stock d/s holds up.
