What do you think of 0w30 full synthetic for the mustang 5.0? (Weather 80-90 degrees)

It's going to be fine, and is a good middle ground between the thinner 5w-20 the engine calls for and a thicker 5w30. The 0w rating helps with cold flow and is thicker at operating temps.

I run 0w30 Amsoil year round as I didn't want to mess with the thicker oil when it gets to be winter here and quite cold.

I've had good results with the Mobil 1 0w40 in previous vehicles, haven't tried it yet in the Mustang though. Will likely switch to that next oil change.

I have 3 vehicles right now. Two spec'd for 5w-20, and one for 10w-30. Once my stockpile runs out, I'm going 0w-30 for all of them because I'm lazy and I'd rather stockpile a single grade oil. My honda mower (Sadly no VTEC) will also get it even though it's supposed to run a straight 30. Other than the mustang, the other two are out of warranty. I live where the "lows", in January might be 40-45 degrees and the "highs" in July might be 115. No need really for a 0 weight, but it helps get the oil to the cams faster on startups and the thicker 30 weight helps with the shear that happens from idling in traffic when it's awfully darn hot out.

I have used 0w-40 for past vehicles, actually used it yesterday in my truck (The 10w-30 vehicle above). It is a fantastic oil, I think it has higher levels of moly in it, so it is better for wear, but is a bit harder on the catalytic converter. I'm sure it would be fine, but I don't like to go two steps thicker. (Yes I know a 50-weight oil is specified for other cars running nearly the same engine)

Evil 5.0, damn nice looking car there. I love the orange so much I bought one. I like what you've done with it as well - I might go S/C a few years from now when I have it paid off.
