Posted this on the 350 forum but thought it might get more responses on the general forum

Driven mostly during daylight.

Noticed something weird tonight driving home from the coast.

Auto lights came on at dusk. As the evening progressed and it got dark in the cabin noticed that the headlight switch was not illuminated nor the switches / buttons on the steering wheel. This would be the green blue you see at night to identify the switches (lights on the left side of the dash as well as cruise control, sport setting, phone buttons on the steering wheel).

If I switched the lights from auto to on the the green / blue background would flash and then go off again on the backgound of the light switch.

Like I said I seldom drive this car at night so I never noticed this issue.

Anyone else had this problem?

She is a 2017 with 3600 miles on the OD

Figured out what happened. Found a pinched wire under the airbag. Yellow wire going to the left switches. Caused the control module to shut off the back lighting due to the short. Fixed the wire and all is back to normal.
