Hello,mustang family need input on a issue with my 2015 mustang v6 w/ 39k miles so I was driving home on my street when at speed 5 Miles hr the steering lock up vehicle still running almost cause me to hit another car I stop in time turn vehicle off and restarted an everything went back to normal but could hear a noise when making right turn. Took vehicle to shop said that part inturnal failure not my fault. So I notified the US DOT NHTSA about the complaint and issues also call ford motor company for assistant Incase the USDOT turn this matter into a recall for all electric power steering Ford Mustang can get reimbursed for payment anybody have same issue.

Your car when new had a 3 year 36,000 mile warranty that covered the steering motor. If it failed after the warranty why should Ford pay for it? If it was a front wheel bearing or your brakes should Ford pay for that also? Exactly which safety related parts should Ford, or any auto manufacturer, pay for after the warranty expires?
