Auto transmission delay

Has anyone found a way to adjust or tune the transmission delay when shifting to drive....its nearly 3 seconds! Its my main complaint about this car.

Or direct me to a discussion if there is one, please.

Honestly if there is that big of a delay then you could be low on trans fluid or there might be something wrong with your valve body because the shift between P,N,D are all manual hydraulic inputs.

I've heard of others with the same complaint. Its the delay after shifting into D, 2,3, ok go ...that I hate.

There is a 10R80 software update, which may fix the issue. Go to your local Ford Service Center and tell them to look up the current TSB’s on the S550 10R80.
