For comparison, typical 4130 we've used has a Yield = 85.7 ksi (590.9 Mpa), Tensile = 111.2 ksi (766.7 Mpa), and Elongation = 24%. DOM (1020) steel, which is also used in some roll bars, is typically about 10-15 ksi (69-103 Mpa) lower.

That's a great question. Docol, per the manufacturer, is an alloy a bit unto itself, unlike 4130. Here's the last shipment we received:

Material Chemistry:
C = 0.03%
Si = 0.02%
Mn = 1.69%
P = 0.01%
S = 0.003%
Cr = 0.03%
Ni = 0.04%
Mo = 0.000%
B = 0.0001%
Al = 0.033%
Cu = 0.01%
Nb= 0.059%
Ti = 0.12%
V = 0.02%
N= 0.005%

Mechanical Properties: Yield = 126.2 ksi (870.2 Mpa), Tensile = 140.7 ksi (970.1 Mpa), Elongation @ 2" = 10%

Nice product! I had the WR roll bar in my now sold 2017 GT350 and was happy with it, but the drilling it the floor was a bit of a bummer.

If I ever get another GT350, I'll sure go this route. Quick question... can you do it with harness retaining loop on the horizontal bar?

Thanks for the compliment! Yes, we can easily add harness loops for anyone who wants them, no additional charge. We have many customers who prefer to use split collars to locate their shoulder straps, that's why we don't just put them on all bars.

Ordered and looking forward to this. Communication with Pete has been great. I also ordered LMR's new fiber reinforced rear seat delete that looks to be a pretty good copy of the stock delete in my R. Weighs only 4 pounds, and is $375 through LMR with code LMR6 (6% off).

Thank you for your order! Looking at LMR's rear seat delete, it looks like a great product to use with the CMS roll bar, and saves a lot vs. the factory piece. Looking forward to seeing your completed installation with that RSD!

I've attached a couple photos of a CMS roll bar in Avalanche Gray with our re-designed harness hoops. We decided to do an updated take on the hoops instead of using the the standard 1/4" rod. The inside of each slot is radiused so it's easy on shoulder straps. We think they look pretty cool. Let us know what you think!
