Put foot on brake then shift from park to drive or neutral to drive?

This thread makes no sense to me.

I just got a 2018 A10 too.

Thanks for the information
The way it sounds and feels I can imagine it can't be any good

Even though the engine rpm's come down, the trans internals are still spinning faster than the engine. Hence the jolt engaging everything again. Try it again, but wait longer before back to park. BTW quite hard on things doing that...

Hello

Of course I am braking while changing between the positions.

Put foot on brake then shift from park to drive or neutral to drive?

This thread makes no sense to me.

I just got a 2018 A10 too.

I posted in the other thread about the harsh downshifts but I forgot to write that I have experienced this a few times also. Except not from neutral. Every now and then when I put the car from park to drive and give it a little gas it hesitates like its halfway in neutral still. It only does it for a second or two before its fine again. Never used to do that. I have about 6000 miles and was built 3/18.
