I took my car to the dragstrip for the first time. Running stock tires and could not get a decent 60’. Very dissapointef with the times. Best run was:

60’ 2.215
1/4 mile time 13.066 @ 111.94
Temperature was 80 degrees and DA was 2466

My current mods are: JLT intake, x pipe, flowmaster outlaw axlebacks, PBD E85 tune

Once you get ur 60’ times down your easy 12.7-12.8 car. Stickier tire and cooler air lower DA will help a lot.

In the end did you have fun? That is the bigger question. Chasing times or comparing your car to others more times than not leads to frustration and dissatisfaction. A lot of people personally bankrupt themselves and families chasing 1/4 numbers.

You had everything going against you. Trying to learn a new set up. DA and a humid day will destroy your times. Some drag radials and maybe a stop the hop kit. And youll cut 3/4 of a second off that time. In better weather.

My stock 15 GT runs 13.06, lower trap speed- 108-109, and similar 60 ft times. Definitely a traction issue to start!
