Took the gt to a local 1/8th mile

I was less than impressed with track prep. Another 18 a18 with 305/45/17 mickeys was barely cutting 1.9xs

I'm going too richmond to a larger track, hoping for better prep.

The 1-2 wheel hop on the 1-2 shift in dragmode is awful

The car picks up 2.5 mph in thr 1/8th mile in drag mode.

Best 60' was a measely 2.08

Best et was 8.32 and best trap was 91.xx

First pass was a 2.14 60. 35psi, mild burn out.

Second pass was a 2.2 sixty because I left soft

My best sixty came @ 25psi with a small burn out, leaving off idle ama rolling into it. Sadly the wheel hop on the shift was so bad I had to abort.

All in all it was still a great day.

Also to add, the DA was 2400 at the start of the day, and about 2000 by the time i went home.

Better than my maiden voyage of 8.5 at 89.xx with 2.2 60's. K&N panel being the only mod then lol.

4000+ DA didn't help along with the car having 600 miles on it.

Mine only had 700. It was an experience for me. Most of my drag strip experience is in my lightning on slicks with a big stall.

Wheel hop on the 1-2 shift has made it impossible for me to use drag mode at the strip. I am going to try some drag radials and see if that helps. My best 1/8th has been 8.10 @ 91.22 with a 1.93 60. That was in Sport + and on 255/40r19 Pirellis. I recently tried some BFG Comp 2 A/S tires and the hop was slightly reduced they still spun too much on the 1-2 shift. My track does use VHT at the starting line so the initial launch is not an issue.

I am slightly baffled that some guys run drag mode with no hop and turn in good times and others seem to have issues with the hop.

Drag mode is as useless for mine as it is yours. 1-2 is so violent, it is counterproductive on radials. I cant even imagine now with approx. 50 more wheel hp how mine would spin at the track. Street it's smoke 1-3

Do you all have PP1 and drag mode? Or base suspension?

I do not have performance package or MagneRide. I do have the BMR cb005 cradle lockout kit. My car has the various modes including the drag mode.
