2015 GT PP, Hearing a muted thud when shifting into reverse and some times when Shifting into first. It started about a week ago. I am familiar with the regular thud I you feel and hear when you shift. This is different, it appears to sounds like its coming from the rear and not the gear box. Any ideas what could be causing this? Thanks :)

When you push in the clutch give it a hard pause like a second before you move the shift lever. Things are still moving and pushing in the clutch doesn't instantly stop everything from moving. Worked for my 15 to not get to fast/aggressive with the shifter like that.

I'd look for telltale signs of worn rear suspension bushings or driveshaft wear. Might be hard to check without a hoist.

Does it with zero miles on the clock.
It's an inherent characteristic from what I have experienced and been talked about on here before.
I have come accustomed to it and now think it's a pretty cool characteristic of the car.
Maybe there is an alternative for your disliking .....a new shifter or going with something like the
Steeda Shifter Base Bracket And Bushing Kit Billet Manual

I know of the shift knock that you are referring to and I noticed that too from day one. I just simply bought a Corsa Extreme Catback and called it a day. But this is different. I hear the normal knock when shifting into first.
This is a secondary knock bump that is not the one I have become accustomed to. I bought my car brand new in 15 and know what is normal and this bump is not. I got under the car last weekend and noticed some axle oil leakage where the drive shafts are connected to the rear gear housing unit. This is only 3 years old. It should not be leaking anything. I dont do burn out or abuse the car. The bad thing is that I am out of warranty.
