Purchased 2 weeks ago. 2017 Gt350, 1.8k miles, white, Tech pack, and not stripes: $55K OTD (actual price of the car before fees, etc was $51.950)! Pretty sure this was a good deal lol

I just picked up a new 2018 Lightning Blue with white stripe GT350 for $4500 below MSRP. I think I did pretty well for a car with 9 miles on the odometer and in the exact specs that I wanted.

Hey, anyone interested, check this out. I've spoken with the owner of the dealership several times, great guy, and we've talked mostly about ordering a 2019. But he has brand new 2018 Race Red, with Black OTT, Electronics package (Recaro seats), and only 3.6 miles on it at $56,206. That's $5,409 under MSRP. I would have jumped on it, but I want the convenience package with the leather seats. As one who has combed the country for deals, this is about as good as it gets. Just passing along the info...

This was actually the other car that I was considering, but my wife nixed the idea of having an orange car. You might want to jump on this one.

$3900 off msrp, not bad. but hellfire just laughs at these LOL :-)
That's a very good price for an east coast car. The best deals are going to be located in the middle of no where. I'm going to be skeptical of Hellfire's 9k off MSPR until we see a bill of sale.

Try west coast and specifically CA (where I'm at). Dealers here want $5k-$20k over MSRP on normal GT350's. You can get a few to sell for MSRP or very slightly under, but it's rare. Midwest has some good deals though, for sure.

I believe hellfire. I don't see why he'd mislead on a public forum. But maybe that's just me.

I have been on many forums, I've seen d*ck size contest before over the dumbest things. 9k off MSRP is unrealistic because that amount far exceeds the dealer holdback amount and we're not talking a few hundred under the holdback amount. Ask yourself, why would a dealership sell a car at a massive loss?

I found the same car as mine, minus the car cover in NYC. The dealer wanted 10k ADM, but after a few mins of talking to the Sales Manager, they now like me enough to hook me up for a low low price of 5k ADM. I just laughed and walked out. I bought my lightning blue with white stripes, convenience package, car cover for $4500 off. I drove by the dealership just to show the GM the sale that he lost out on.

Yeah, ADM's are a joke out here too. Dealers will say $20k over, but you can easily get it to $10k. But I ain't paying ADM nor MSRP. I can wait. That said, I like lightning blue with white OTT and convenience package. That is one combo I would get and on my short list. Good job. $4500 is a really good discount. Well done and enjoy man.

Do dealers get any factory incentives to move the ‘18 GT350’s?

Seeing some that are about 5k off sticker now. Just wondering if they are getting money from Ford or just going into their holdback to move the cars.

No. Dealers are digging into their hold backs. They played the markup game and lost, now they have to find a way to move their inventory. Keep in mind that gt350 production ended the 1st week of June, so there was ample time for the dealership to move the 1 or 2 vehicles that they received. FORD isn't going to help those greedy dealerships on a Ford Performanxe vehicle.

Is the holdback 3% for these?

I don't recall the exact amount, but 3% sounds about right. I doubt many dealers would be willing to dig deep into their holdbacks, but there are some dealers that just want to move inventory.

I was just doing the rough math and figured to get 5k off sticker some of them had to be dipping into that holdback.

You're right. If you can get over 4k off, the dealership definitely dipped into their holdback.
