What happens if this New GT500 can't beat my C7 Z06?

The current "Shelby" GT350 is built on the same assembly line as all of the other Mustangs. It was designed and engineered by Ford, not Shelby American, they just license the use of his name to Ford. If you don't like Mustangs, don't buy a GT350, because it is a Mustang, with all of the good and bad that implies.

Lot's of hype around this GT500.

My Z06 weighs approx 3,600 lbs with 650HP/650TQ.

GM claims 0-60: 2.95 Seconds, Quarter mile: 10.95 Seconds @127 MPH with Automatic.

I've got a manual but have never gone faster than 3.6, never took it to the track. But the top 10 on CF have averaged 10.7 in the quarter @130MPH, with the best at 10.413

This GT500 if we believe these "leaked" stats weighs 4,225lbs (a beast).

That's 600lbs+ more or 60HP (10HP for every 100lbs).

If the Z06 has 650HP and the GT500 720HP then these cars are almost equal in Weight to Power (710HP vs 720HP)

I think Ford is going to be embarrassed if they can't beat a Z06 or a Hellcat.

I'm getting a 2019 GT350 unless the GT500 has a NA engine with 700HP and a Manual tranny.

No supercharger for me.

It won't be a Mack Daddy if it can't beat a 4 Year platform with the Z06.

Ford has hyped this car for years.

Ford has had at minimum 4 years to One Up GM & Dodge.

To think this GT500 may be slower than a Z06 or Hellcat Redeye is embarrassing.

No trophies for 3rd place.

Unleaded Regular today is $2.19 per gallon.

Unleaded Premium is $2.59

When it goes back UP to $2.79 I'll let you know.

Maybe in the State of Kalifornia it's $2.79 cause Liberals like to steal your money.

Sadly in the state of Illinois the average is $2.89, Premium is very affordable at almost $4.00... and they want to add 2 new taxes because gas is so "cheap".

I was in Europe a few months ago, you pay by the Litre.

I think 3.7 Litres to the gallon. I paid $2.00 per litre or about $7.00 per gallon.

Cigarettes were $20.00 per pack, but you get 30 in a pack.

Gas prices jumped this week to $2.48 Regular.

$2.84 Premium. Getting close to that $3.00 level.
