My issue is now a programming issue. I now getting a TCM issue I'm assuming because I've programmed for an automatic when driving a manual.
Here is what you need to change, nothing else:

1)
IPC: Enable CTA and BLIS
720-01-01 xxxx xxxx *xxx 6 --> 7 (ADCF disabled, CS enabled, CWAW enabled, CT enabled)
720-03-01 *xxx xxxx --> 6

2)
And then you need to program your VIN to the two modules (SODL+SODR) starting at 7C4/7C6-07-01.

3)
The basic programming for the modules should look like this. Same values for 7C6 except for the lasst two digits which are the checksum and calculated automatically by ForScan.
7C4-01-01 2000 00ED
7C4-02-01 5D0A 0000 0035
7C4-02-02 0000 01D0
7C4-03-01 0B09 E3
7C4-04-01 5F0A 39
7C4-05-01 1E0A 0400 00FD
7C4-05-02 2541 38
7C4-06-01 2439 646E 0001

What did you change to have issues with automatic vs. manual?

Only difference was in copying screens shots for the -01-01 lines. Managed to get the above also by comparing some ABD for other manuals. Now everything works spot on.

0000-00CD and 0000-00CF = Auto
2000-00ED and 2000-00EF = Man

That makes sense as my car's an auto. I'll add that to the guide along with Falk03's info and findings if he measures the OEM lights this weekend.

Oops, thank you for pointing this out. Somehow I must have used the correct values without knowing.

Just wanted to add my story. Much appreciation for the OP making the post and the helpful guidance.

I basically followed his install and got everything hooked up down to the same wire color he chose and lights that he bought as I to was going for the A post light install. Well after getting everything hooked up, coded and checked multiple times, I kept getting the ground fault led dtc like others had experienced. At the advice of a friend, he had me check the resistance of the red lights that I was using, and were the same as the OP's, and found the resistance was different. So I started checking other lights in the pack and found that the blue ones had a completely different resistance compared to the red and yellow (didn't test white and green). Well, that was it. They lit up the first try and are working perfectly. I cleared the old dtc's and reread for codes and there were none. Went out and test drove looking to put cars in my blind spot and parked in a lot in reverse with cars driving by and CTA worked 100% by design. My buddy also found some red led lights that have the resistance I was looking for and ordered a set of those which should be here soon for the actual install to the A post.

Thanks again @Bull Run

Edit: After driving around some and at night, I actually liked the blue lights better than I thought and will be installing those permanently now. If I ever want to change the color, it won't be hard at all.

The red/yellow LEDs were 120 ohms and the blue was about 550 ohms. Seems the sweet spot for these is >400 ohms. Had db252 order some 470ohm LED/resistor combos.

Gotta love China. Changing stuff with the exact same packaging and part.

Both my cars came with factory BLIS or I would be doing this. Hopefully I get around to adding adaptive cruise to the mustang sometime this year. Good write up!

What is the part number for the blind spot bracket clips that attach the bracket to the body. These clips don't appear to come with the bracket from looking at the bracket illustration. I could use blots, but the pop in clips would be easier.

If you order the brackets brand new, they come with the clips.
What's the part number for the brackets and how much did they cost? My sensors came with brackets but not the clips. I couldn't find the part number for the clips, so I just used bolts and double-sided tapes.

I got the part number for the brackets from your very first post. I ordered everything brand new from Autonation except the sensors which were salvaged. When all the parts showed up, the brackets had the clips on them.

D'oh! Thanks, now I remember finding the part number for the brackets and didn't know they even came with the clips.

I'm currently gathering the parts necessary to add blind spot to my base 2015 v6 mustang. I have a question regarding the BLIS mirror part numbers. When I enter FR3Z-17K707-D into Tasca parts the illustration shows BLIS, but the description states no BLIS. For FR3Z-17K707-G, the description does not state anything, and the illustration does not show a BLIS. Tried checking other part stores, but they all show the same thing. Just a little worried before I place the order.

It looks like you would want same part number but Q and R at the end instead of the other letters. Check to be sure.
