Why do you even put numbers on your car? I've never been to a track day yet where the organizers required them. Some groups require that? Or is it to look cool on the street?

Our group requires numbers. It's to assist the corner works and crew. When you've got 10 miatas that are black or sliver at an event, they need to be able to tell them apart.

I've had the opposite experience. Every track I've been to has required numbers. Never been to a track day where numbers were not required out here in California.

I also use magnetic ones from Track decal. No problems with the 12" one. I have done 3 track days with them. One with non stop pouring rain. No issues. I try to clean them after each event and also make sure the paint is clean as well.
