Good Afternoon Ian!

I have emailed a few times regarding this new resonator. I am looking to try and istall this in my 3" Borla exhaust system I have. The car has Stainless Works longtube headers, and off the headers is your 3" S-system with the cat-deletes installed. I'm looking to quiet the car down a little bit more now. The car is extremeley loud when I go WOT with the Whipple Supercharger on it. I was thinking I could just cut off the reducers you have on the new resonator, and istall it in place of the mid pipes that are in my 3" S-type system. Give me your thoughts on this when you or David have time.

Thanks
Bob
Hey Bob! Unfortunately, that would not work. The nipple on our resonator is 2.25" to 2.5" going into the resonator and 3.0" coming out of the resonator. If you cut off the nipples/reducers it will be 2.5" going into the resonator and it sounds like you need a 3.0".

Hmm, it looks like Borla took the video down... Maybe they wanted to be the ones who shared it first..?
Hi. Thank you for sharing! We had to take the video down because of a few typos. We are hoping to have the video re-uploaded by tonight!

Morning Ian!

Thanks for getting back with me! So...It is dual 2.5" at the front of the resonator with a 2.25" nipple, and then dulal 3" out??? Whip me one up real quick with Dual 3" In/Out!!!:)

So when is the ATAK releasing for non-active 18's/19's?

Maybe I missed it, but will you be offering an ATAK version of the axle-back or will it continue to only be offered in a cat-back?

Thanks!

Will Ford Performance consider adding an active valve version of the Ford Performance by Borla system?

Unfortunately, we will not be offering an ATAK axle-back. In order to obtain the "ATAK" sound that we wanted, we would have had to remove the stock front resonator. We felt that it was not a big enough difference from the S-Type axle-back with the stock front resonator in place.

Why did you stop making headers?

I wish I had of gone with the Atak but the S-type is solid. It has a deeper tone and it’s just ever so slightly louder than stock. I will say prior to putting on the S-type I already had an x-pipe install so if you’re going from a stock exhaust with a resonator then it will definitely be louder to you. I believe the active exhaust would be fine with the Atak because you’ll be able to adjust the tone to your liking. I’ll post pics later.
