I had a flat and accidentally sprayed tire sealant (instead of air) all over my wheel. The kind that comes in the tire repair kit in the back of the car (2015 mustang gt) I wiped away most of it while it was wet. Now there are spots of it here and there and streaks. I tried soap and claybar. Didn't work. Kinda want people's opinions before I try anything else. Will oil work? Goo gone? Or do I need something stronger??

Elbow grease worked on the tire and firm brush, but I don't want to do that on these painted wheels.

Try WD40. Spray it on the rim and use a good microfiber towel to remove. You’re going to have to put some muscle into it if the stuff is dry. I’ve used WD40 to remove many different bug smears, tar, misc. goop from body panels, rims, etc. in the past with much success. WD40 will not harm clearcoat, painted or bare metal surfaces. When done, just use soap and water to clean and your favorite wax/polish.

+ 1 on the WD40, it won't harm your painted wheels just make sure to use a clean microfiber towel.

WD40 didn't work, anything else stronger to use? Can I use acetone and a q tip for those areas?

Or how long do you guys leave on wd40 to soak?
