To install you will need 9/32" or 7mm socket, extension bar and socket wrench or adapter to attach 9/32" or 7mm socket to screwdriver. One zip tie. Forscan, laptop and OBD2 adapter. I used ELM327 USB Modified for Ford with FTDI chip - MS-CAN support Mazda Forscan OBD2 that I got off eBay. You will also need a premium Mycolor cluster Auto part # FR3Z-10849-EA while premium MT would be FR3Z-10849-GA, mainly E for auto and G for MT. After aquiring all items above your ready for install.

Remove right passenger side small black panel between door and glove box, then remove driver side small trim panel between door and panel. On the right side of the steering wheel pull from the top of the panel down the small black panel it will hang, remove center trim panel above stereo. Back to driverside remove four screws, then on right side of steering wheel remove one screw. Head light switch panel after removing screws pull panel and let it hang. Top panel on the left side of steering wheel pull top forward and remove last screw. Pull steering wheel all the way forward and down and lock into place. Pull the trim piece up on the top of the steering wheel then pull it into the center gap of the steering wheel opening, pull the center cluster benzel out it is attached to the left vent which has clips. After removing pull cluster out on the right side it is attached cable press in the tab to remove. Install new cluster reattach cluster cable and use ziptie if needed on the right side of the cluster to hold line in place. Reverse process to reattach all pannels.

Using Forscan to disable all unneeded premium features that are not on the base model.

Nice writeup. Do you have to modify the mileage for this mod?

Unfortunately I have not found a way to change mileage yet but since you can read original mileage I do believe that it would be possible.

I just installed my premium gauge cluster with corrected odometer on my base model Ecoboost. Mycolor on the cluster works perfectly. I went into Forscan and made all the above listed changes, but I'm still getting the "check parking aid" message at startup. Any ideas or suggestions.?

Ask in the forscan group and let me know what the fix is and I'll update the list on what was the fix. They are the ones that have me the original info which worked for me.

Well, I figured it out. I temporarily re-installed my original cluster and took a picture of the IPC as-built data. Then I put the premium cluster back in and compared the as-built data. There were several blocks that were slightly different, but when I changed block 720-04-02 from xxxx-02D7 to xxxx-00D5, the "Check Park Aid" message was gone at startup. Happy days!!!

On a side note to anyone removing the gauge cluster - there's metal underneath the dash pad and it's sharp. Be very careful when pulling the cluster out.

I enabled Line Lock but it's greyed out. Looks like I need to swap the ABS module with a GT module to get it working.

Did you change the vin number in the new cluster to match the old one? Line lock works after you drive for awhile after the car is turned on otherwise it will be greyed out at first.
