Not sure how accurate, but I found a follow up that suggests the car wasn't stolen. The guy was initially going to be detained for shoplifting.

Wow that guy on the motorcycle was really being a jerk. Push in front of the Mustang while it's stopped at a light, then when the light turns green take off really slowly. Then when called on your bad behavior, blame the other guy. I realize it takes two and most people would just live with the irritation and do nothing because they don't want to accidentally hurt the motorcyclist, but still. You realize you could get hurt but you still go out of your way to antagonize other drivers?
