Could 1500 private cash stack with student program

I got the 1500 private cash and 750(or 500 for mustang?) student rebate.
Could they stack? I ask one of local dealership and they say no.

To my knowledge if it's not a dealership incentive it should stack.

Meaning if FORD is offering the 1,500 Rebate then it should be able to stack.

That's a little off-putting of the dealership to me, my dealership asked me every possible discount question they could stack, Student, Military, EMT, My insurance provider, etc.

I just picked up on 8/2/18 and the college student would NOT stack with my private offer. My private offer was $1,500 and the college offer was $500, so I took the former.

You are right. I just picked my car this Friday.
Salesman first said it could stack based on his knowledge, but later says computer ask him to select only 1 coupon/rebate between private cash and student program.
