Wrench light came on with the airbag light. What does that mean. Shut the car off. Turned it back on light went away. Car drives normal. Check for codes.... no codes. Comes on whenever it wants

There are a lot of reasons that can happen... ranging from tune issues, throttle body, or any of the related suspension parts.

Chances are you will need someone that can run body control module codes, and get to the heart of your issue.

Next time it happens don't turn your car off before you check the codes and there should be a PCM code that will help you out...

+1 check the codes before shutting off the car. How did it drive when the light was on? Normal for the airbag light to come on with the wrench.

So far I noticed it comes on after I get into boost. I still haven't floored it yet. Just been rolling into boost about 5 or 6 pounds. After that the car will start surging and throw a wrench light. I hook up the sct scanner and it says no codes found. I didn't want to run DTC codes because in the scanner it says in bold letters DO NOT START THE ENGINE.

I noticed today if I have the car in cruise control the car would not surge at all. I even gave it throttle using the button on the steering wheel, car accelerated without a issue once I put my foot on the pedal it started to surge then a wrench light came on while I was on the highway. I had to pull over. Hook the SCT X4 up to it while it was running..... no codes. I'm lost. I'm gonna have lund data log it and see what they find. I'm thinking the pedal is the problem. What do you guys think?

Yep, sounds like the gas pedal to me.

Are you running a throttle referenced BAP? I have had issues in the past with the pigtail for the BAP causing a wrench light and the car to die like you are saying. (even if you dont have a BAP) disconnect the plugs going to the gas pedal and clean them out with some compressed air, make sure all the pins are installed correctly. Reconnect and make sure everything is tight and secure. Some dirt or dust may be in the connector causing the connection to be inturrupted, or a pin may not be seated all the way/loose connection.

Also check the BAP harness if you have one to make sure it didnt get pinched in the brake pedal or steering linkage somewhere, if it wasnt secured out of the way.

Data log should help, post it here when you do it. It will show how much throttle is commanded so if it suddenly goes haywire that will be a good sign its the sensor in the pedal.

Thanks man. I have a VMP BAP. I have no check engine light on. Took it back to the shop, they plugged their computer up to my car and four codes popped up

P0532- A/C refrigerant pressure sensor
P0A5B- generator code/ alternator
P2122- throttle postion sensor
P2138- throttle/pedal postion sensor

WTF smh. All this was working before they put my car back together.

I am guessing it has to do with voltage issues on your pedal due to the BAP. Was is a plug and play or did you do any soldering/butt connecting? Even if it was I would test voltage at the pedal as you are getting codes related to it.

Took the pedal off a running car still throwing a wrench light, disconnected the BOP still throwing a wrench light, changing the throttle body now. Hopefully this works
