Today I got some fender washers in order to raise the strut tower brace 1/4'' for installation. I know the proper way should be lowering the engine, but this is just to temporarily carry my strut tower brace when my car is being shipped.
However, I noticed my car's strut tower studs are of different lengths on different sides. The driver side studs are noticeably shorter than the passenger side and doesn't allow me to put more washers. Yes I double checked, the number of washers are equal on the two sides (5 of them).
Is this same with your vehicle?
By the way, there appear to be ~8mm of clearance from engine to the brace.
