I don't doubt that he has seen or driven in one, however it being at shelby america leads me to believe in the possibility that shelby/Ford may be looking into an aftermarket Shelby variant like a 500 super snake. Who knows?
You are so right if the GT 500 is ever released it better be nugging 800hp or it's going to be a yawner. Fords handling of the GT500 reminds me of when Mitsubishi came out with the last Eclipse they had the car at car shows and in magazines for almost 2 year before it went on sale. There where a lot of comments and it was true that the car was already old even before it hit the streets. Unfortunately I think the GT500 700+ hp has already gotten old.
