George Washington and Eisenhower immediately come to mind.

For the record, I'm an independent and have felt that the 2-party system is a crock of shit since I learned about our government back in grade school. Even more so now. It's never been more obvious than the 2016 election that there needs to be more than two possible outcomes for us.

I have to admit that I like Donald's roll. He seems to care about the direction of our country, but would do well to develop a little tact. What I like most is how wild he makes the media and the libs....

To be fair if you include the primaries there are certainly more than two possible outcomes.

The current system is locked in place for the finals though. It is not going to change anytime soon.

I did shop for insurance, because I have a family to provide for, and that was the least expensive plan, while keeping similar coverage.
I picked up on it, but it still wasn't even remotely good as an insult.

Oh, and for reference, I don't watch NASCAR, or watch FOX News. I'm a Defense Contractor, and while you're in your Mom's basement playing video games and watching Asian Cartoon Porn, I'm working with other Disabled Vets, trying to make their lives a little more enjoyable- Whether it's at the local range, or helping them build a deck- then again, I don't imagine you know much about camaraderie.
Health Insurance must really suck in the defense industry because you're paying more each week for insurance than I pay in 6 months for a familty of 5 and I work for a grocery store.

Reagan was great at times, but Donald Trump is really a step above all presidents within my lifetime. He is like a man among boys - the first to step completely out of the box. He definitely has a lot of flaws personally, but the things he has accomplished in the short time in office are nothing short of amazing. He is a genius negotiator and not interested in taking bribes to let other countries have a sweetheart trade deal, for instance.

He is not without flaws and I do disagree with some things he has done - signing that spending bill comes to mind, but overall he has done very well.

It's especially possible that he is the greatest considering that both corrupt mainstream parties and the big media / social media giants are all doing everything they can to stop him. If he had jaywalked he would probably be in prison for life. Luckily he is squeaky clean from a legal standpoint. Even greats like Reagan didn't have the opposition that Trump does. Washington or Lincoln are probably close to Trump, but especially Washington had greatness all around him.

Trump really had to overcome the odds just to get into office.

Probably Washington because nobody better understood liberty, freedom and the constitution. He was a soldier so he understood what it took to attain/keep freedom. He understood how quickly government can get out of hand. He understood the horrors of war and that it should be a last resort.
Trumps presidency won't be fully understood until a few years after it's over. Could be ok, could be a total shitshow. Reagan had his own issues with Iran Contra and the War on drugs that is still a huge failure to this day. Clinton benefited from the tech boom which made his economy look good and got him a second term. Bush 41 killed himself with his tax increase. Bush 43 with his involvement with the Saudis and Iraq War. Carter was just a pushover on foreign policy.
Obama I don't even want to get started about. He was black when it was convenient and white when things weren't. He was born in HI but wasn't American by any stretch. I'd like to see any kid born here moved overseas with his Commie mom during his formative years and then asked his opinion on America as a 25 year old. They all increased debt and spending. They all circumvented the Constitution when it seemed necessary to their political success. They all sold out the 2nd Amendment (including Trump).
They were all for bigger Government as long as it was their side that benefited. America is still the best country on this spinning rock but it could be much better without political dynasties and asshole politicians. For closers, fk the people who always use the phase, "There aught to be a law."

Washington, Jefferson, Lincoln, Reagan, Trump. There are others i respect also. Those old school presidents were something else though. Im a Trump supporter, though i wouldnt be upset at all if they could get him to stay off twitter and read a script lol. I guess thats what makes him different though. It interesting that different area's in this country can have such different views. I had to go to NJ for business and those 3 days were nothing but anti trump, opinion news all day everyday.. no wonder a area can hate him. I can say though no Russian anything kept me from voting for Hillary.

It is genuinely amazing how much support Trump has in the USA when here in the UK he is seen as deluded and dangerous. No wish to start an argument as I'm neither American nor really know what Americans think, but much of the world outside the US genuinely fears for the safety of the world with him in power. I think we genuinely don't get what it is that US citizens see in him and how bad it must be for you to choose him as President !

Interestingly, Obama was seen as a genuine and compassionate man outside the US

That is because the only view you get of him is what you see on tv which is 99% controlled by liberal media. Not the lowered monthly bills, or the increased amount of money in your wallet. Just look at all the big internet tech companies censoring conservatives. That’s your first clue

I'm not really sure about that as we don't get the US media here. I certainly get to see Trump on TV however and the way he acts and speaks does not come over as somebody I would want leading my country. His shoot from the hip Twitter tirades are very unprofessional no matter who he is.

I understand sometimes a country needs somebody to get things done (Margaret Thatcher was a good example for us) and by their very nature they upset a few people along the way. Thatcher never had to tell anybody how great she was on a daily basis - deeds prove you rather than words.

I hope the extra money in your pockets is a long term effect - but you do need to understand where that money is coming from and whether it is sustainable. A trade war will not help you long term in this respect.

Let's hope I get my Mustang before the price goes up !

Clinton would have won had she actually read "The Art Of The Deal" which Trump wrote 31 years ago. Trump has slashed federal regulations, played hardball with the whining Europeans and Chinese. Spoken truth to "the little rocket man". I gotta stop because I'm laughing just thinking about some of the stuff he's said in interviews and through tweets. Ronnie used to be the guy, but Trump trumps them all! I still think he's a dirtbag with women (being a one woman man myself), but then haven't they all done stupid stuff like that? I gave him some cash to run the first time and I'll do it again.

Absolutely! When I was in Australia several years ago they gushed Obama. I asked everyone why that was and then I got the deer in the headlights look. They had absolutely no idea why they liked Obama. Bizarre.

There is only so much the media can do one way or the other. As a personality (policies excluded) Obama came across as a compassionate, generous man. Trump doesn't. This isn't media based, but words and deeds from their own mouths. I can understand that media manipulation can skew the opinion of somebody, but when the words come from the persons own mouth (or Twitter) then it leaves little room for interpretation. Some of the things Trump has denied have happened and then ultimately had to admit that they did suggest a lack of honesty (with himself as well as others)

His attitude to women is from the stone age - I feel for Melania with some of the things he has done and said, but she does seem to occasionally stand up to him in public when he really drops a clanger. She doesn't have to be married to him, but a Presidential divorce wouldn't be good for his ratings !

John McCain seemed to be a very well respected politician and yet Trump was not welcome at his funeral - it must mean something ? My understanding was that they disagreed on Trumps methods rather than policies and that he didn't respect Trump ?

I quit looking at what people say a long time ago. I look at what they do. Trump has done more for the US globally financially and every other way that is important to me as conservative patriotic American.
