I should have been able to go a little quicker but I am terrible at that track for some reason. It's my home track too.

Track/Course: Dominion Raceway
Best Lap Time: 1:41.23
Brake Pads: stock
Tires (Size & Model): Michelin Pilot Sport 4S, 255/40/19 front, 275/40/19 rear
Suspension: stock
Other Mods: none (other than 75w-140 diff fluid and Motul 600 brake fluid)

Stock '18 GT PP1, second time at Dominion. Looking forward to a HPDE next Sun, 8/19 to try again and get better. Let me know if anyone else is going to that.

Terrible, shaky video included in case anyone wants to see the track. RAM X-grip mount w/ iPhone and Harry's Lap Timer was very shaky but otherwise good, need to figure out a better setup (suggestions?). Harry's video stabilizer feature didn't do much to help. Also the MPH are a bit high. My max speed in the straight away was 131 MPH, not 147 like the video says.

I hear you on theRAM X-Grip. I have a similar set up but lately have been also using a GoPro Hero 5 Black with their mount and its much more stable. Mounting on the exterior brings up another set of issues which is wind noise though. I taped up all 3 mics but still lots of noise. A friend of mine runs 2 external microphones in strategic locations and has a great final product but his set up is complicated.

Saturday the track was slow & a little slippery in the turns, warm and humid with the track slowing a great deal after lunch. I had a lot of fun harassing a couple of Porshe owners, they were fast as hell on the straights but were practicing their parallel parking skills in the corners. Very hard to get a clean lap at this track with it being so long you get traffic on nearly every lap. Not my fastest lap of the weekend but the video below shows some of the P-cars I was able to harass, they really do not like pointing by a Mustang.:giggle:

Picked up some more time from last year but other than throwing on a fresh set of rubber I am not sure I have much left to give on this track. I was finally brave enough to run the kink with just a small breath of the throttle and not touching the brakes at all. Its a mental thing for me because I know the car will hold through there flat out.

Lots of S550 Mustang there, great to see so many playing with their Mustangs.

Dave
Love the videos ... RA is without a doubt one of the real classic road courses. I ran with the Northwoods Shelby Club many years ago and was beyond giddy to get the experience. They would start timing us in the pits from a stop, as turn 1 had yet to have a gravel run off area. That gave people with cold tires/brakes less of a chance of going off. Ran a 2:52:57 ... not bad for 24 years ago from a stop and a fully equipped 88 Saleen. Am really looking forward to a return trip.

Make/Model/engine/trans/packages: 1988 Saleen Mustang/331 Stroker, TFS heads/intake 10.7:1 Comp, Stock T5, 3:55 axle
Track/Course: Road America
Best Lap Time: 2:52:57
Brake Pads: Hawk
Tires (Size & Model): Continental Track compound 245/40/16F 275/40/16R
Suspension: Koni Yellow, Eibach Pro Progressive rate, Eibach F&R sway bars
Other Mods: 2 1/2" Dynomax full exhaust, Maximum Motorsports CC plates, Steeda Subframe connectors
