Hi all,

I'm about to take the plunge and buy tyres for my GT and have a set of 9.5 and 10.5 x 20 RTR wheels for her. I'm pretty much decided on 265/275 front and 295/305 rear but cannot decide on whether to go 30 or 35 profile. I've hunted through the wheels section on the main site but thought I'd ask the question here.. does anyone have pics of both directly side on? I don't want to go down the racer look or stretched appearance, but likewise I don't want the 4x4 look.. I already have a Land Rover!!

Thanks in anticipation of the shots you guys are gonna post. PS.. my car is Grabber Blue and will be slightly lowered on Pedders.

Greetings from across the pond!

On the front you should really go 275/35, or 265/35/20 the 30 section width in the front won't give you much sidewall at all. For the rear you have a choice, the 305/30/20 size is very close to the stock 265/35/20 in height.

305/35/20 is going to be taller than both stock and your proposed front sizes by about an inch. This is great for traction, as going taller nets more contact patch than going wider.

It will however lower your effective gearing if that matters to you. My car has 3.31's and the move to 305/35/20's nets me a 3.18 effective ratio.

As for me I went 275/35/20 and 305/35/20. I like a little rake(I also have stock rear springs in the car) in my vehicles so I am happy with the look. Traction is great as well

295 35 20 is the size to go.

I currently run 305 30 20, and it doesn't look quite right. Too much sports-cars, not enough muscle car.

Thanks for all your advice guys. I took the plunge today and ordered mpss4’s in 265/35 20 and 305/30 20. They are of very similar diameter so should fill the arches well, especially as I will be lowering by 40mm or something like that??
