Install PP Gauges on Non-PP Model - Recap

Just installed the PP gauges in my 2018 base gt. I had the plug behind the Sync module from the factory. Just plugged it in and both gauges seem to be working but not sure how to tell if my Oil pressure is reading accurate.

Is your car an auto or manual?

Do anyone have a part number for the dash? Or a link. I have no problem finding the gauges but have been having a hard time finding the dash.

Just go on eBay and look up Mustang Performance Pack Dash. The part directly from Ford is like $1k, eBay will be maybe like $2-300 (I got mine for $95)

Does anyone know if the plug is behind the radio on a 2017 Ecoboost Premium AT?

On the 2015-17 ecoboost there is no plug - you have to remove the radio to find the correct wires and install it.
I found that you can use a floppy disk power connector\wire from a pc, instead of buying that expensive stock wire from ford. It fits perfectly behind the gauges

I have a 2016 Ecoboost and the wire with plug attached was already there. It was tucked behind the radio, clipped behind a panel. The early part of this this thread shows exactly where it is. Once I plugged it in my boost gauge immediately worked and I needed a local tuner to change a setting for the oil pressure gauge to work.

Not a performance tune, just had my local guy go into the tuning software and “turn on” the gauge.

He is a well known Mustang shop but this was the 1st time he did this. It was pretty simple. He used HP tuning software to change the oil pressure from switch to transducer. Took about 20 minutes.

Thanks Gossomer, I always thought it should be that simple and am glad it worked on your car, because we have the same vehicle - '16 comp orange EB Prem.... now to find someone to do this and maybe fix my new exhaust a bit....
