If you’re talking about mine, thanks! I am trying to learn. Using a flash/strobe/speed light/etc is not exactly the easiest thing I’ve tried. But the possible results are awesome. Being able to control the light opens up so many more possibilities. The last picture of those three there was still so much ambient light, but since my strobe could overpower the available ambient I was able to kill the ambient light in camera and just get light from the strobe.

A shot I took at work with my phone then edited with Lightroom. This is the first of two Mini's that I had to replace the engines in. Timing chain jumped on this one causing piston-to-valve contact, second one lost compression on all cylinders probably due to cylinder head issues. Was cheaper to just swap in junkyard engines than to rebuild.

Some shop photos I took at work while my coworker was replacing a BMW N63 engine. In case you didn't know, this engine is so crappy that BMW gives them away for under $3k brand new.

A customer brought his Backdraft Shelby Cobra replica to the shop to get his wheels refinished so naturally I snapped a few photos. Still processing the album so more to come.

I thought this was pretty cool. A pair of Supercharged GT350's at Gateway Classic Cars in Alpharetta this weekend. Excuse the white car being out of focus.

This car had some nice pinstripes done by hand. It's not really my thing, but it's insane the amount of craftsmanship and precision that someone has to do be able to do this sort of work.

Way back in 1981, I interned at Olympic National Park for three months right out of college. I returned this summer after almost 37 years to find the park as beautiful as ever though under stress from outside forces.

The park is unique in that it features high mountains, temperate rain forests and rugged ocean beaches within its borders. Here are examples of each.
