Thanks for all of the responses; dealer stated that it tested fine no codes etc etc however they were told to put the gauge in boiling water and then reinstall . The gauge is now working.
wow that's pretty nuts. who would of thought a thermal resistor would need that kind of waking up. i've heard of people boiling the thermostat to make sure it's opening at the correct temperatures and what not; but never a sensor lol

thanks for the information man!

good old trick right there to keep in thought :hail:

It probably was the sending unit ; they did not note it on the repair sheet as all it said was that the gauge responds when the diff shield responds; when working at track temperature.
(that is not true )
The manager is the one who explained what they did ie put the gauge(gauge being up front and digital!) into boiling water he probably meant sending unit/ the piece going into the diff itself

When you are in your pony button settings and it gives you your choice of gauges to display, is it an available option to check and add to the screen?

Hmm. That a euro thing I’m guessing? It may be possible that you can code it in with forscan.

I also have a Euro spec '18 GT PP1 and I can confirm that it can't display the diff temp gauge.
